Meet Wayne Bouchier
Acquired Precision Consultancy was founded by Wayne Bouchier, a CNC programmer and machine shop owner with more than 20 years in precision engineering. Over his career Wayne has machined parts for top-tier Formula One teams and aerospace and defence companies, and worked across the subcontract sector, from one-off prototypes to fully automated production.
For nine years Wayne ran his own business, Maztech Precision Engineering in Letchworth. Owning a machine shop meant wearing every hat: programming, setting, quoting, buying machines, recruiting and keeping the spindles turning. He knows first-hand what it costs when a machine sits idle or a key programmer leaves.
In 2023 he set up Acquired Precision Consultancy to put that experience to work for other manufacturers. Today we help machine shops across the UK with hyperMILL and Fusion 360 programming and post processors, CNC control training, automation, tooling and fixturing, machine investments and premises moves.
